Hello and welcome. I'm Alison, a Maritime Canadian who has been living in England for nearly two decades.

I'm a work-from-home p.a. (my own little business for the past eight years). I've been a bit of a skin obsessive from my teens when I tried my mother's bottle of Oil of Olay beauty fluid (long gone now) and opened my first jar of Noxema skin cream.

I firmly believe good skin is key to good makeup. Think of your skin as a cake and makeup as the icing on it. What's underneath the icing has to be good or the whole thing fails.

And as always, less is more. Keep it simple!
